THE JIM GRABB SCHOLARSHIP

Jim Grabb is a former Tucson junior player who became an All-American and NCAA champion at Stanford University. He was a two-time Grand Slam doubles champion and ranked in the ATP Top 25.  

The coach-athlete relationship is an integral part of every athlete’s development.  The Jim Grabb Scholarship is awarded to foster this relationship by providing funds to junior players for private lessons with a local tennis coach. This Scholarship is based on ability, commitment to develop tennis skills, and financial need.

This Scholarship will pay one third of the cost for private tennis lessons, up to $200.  Parents and the Coach must contribute a matching one third each.

Requirements:

The Application must include a written recommendation and affirmation from the Coach the Applicant will train with.

The Coach and training facility must be within the SAZ District.
